Day 03
Mind
Practice Awareness
“I will remind myself to practice present-moment awareness in all my actions. I will refuse to allow obstacles to consume and dissipate the quality of my attention in the present moment. I will accept the present as it is, and manifest the future through my deepest, most cherished intentions and desires.” -Deepak Chopra
“The past is a trail you leave behind, much like the wake of a speedboat. That is, it’s a vanishing trail temporarily showing you where you were. The wake of a boat doesn’t affect it’s course–obviously it can’t since it appears behind the boat. So consider this image when you exclaim that your past is the reason you aren’t moving forward.” -Wayne Dyer
Body
More attention to your largest organ: your skin. Exfoliate- Use a non-toxic body scrub or combine salt with body oil (fractionated coconut oil, V6 oil, jojoba oil, sesame oil, grapeseed oil, or even olive oil) and one-two drops essential oil of your choice. Lemon, lavender, grapefruit, or rose are good choices. In the shower while your skin is still dry start at your feet and gently scrub your body. Work your way up avoiding your face and other delicate areas. Get a friend to do your back if you can. Do this once or twice a week, even after the detox if you can.
Soul
Music. Music feeds the soul. Listen to different types of music from pop to classical and see how it affects your mood. Play classical or slow music while eating. One study found that playing slower music while eating had people eating slower and therefore consuming less. Get up and dance with an upbeat tempo. Play your favorite song today and sing along.
“Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.” Plato
